A Message of Gratitude:
Our Shared Victory
Dear Livingston Community,
It is with immense gratitude and a sense of profound responsibility that I share the news of our collective victory in the Board of Education election. This win is not mine alone—it belongs to each of you who have poured your hearts into this campaign.
Acknowledgments and Appreciations
To every supporter who dialed, texted, shared, and cheered—your efforts have been the lifeblood of our cause. For every lawn sign that waved in the wind, thank you for making our message a staple in our town's landscape.
My circle of friends, your support has been a harbor in the storm. You kept me steady, always there to listen and uplift. Your presence has been a gift I treasure.
To Yi Meng, my steadfast partner, your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. Your strength is our family’s foundation. And to my parents, whose loving care for us all, through comforting meals and open hearts, has been a source of endless strength, I owe a world of thanks.
To my precious children, your love is the beacon that guides me. This journey is for you and for the brighter tomorrow we all envision.

The Path Forward
I am also thankful for the guidance from the current Board members and town council. A special nod to Pat Sebold for wisdom shared; I look forward to working with you all as colleagues.
As we turn the page to this next chapter, I am ready to listen, to learn, and to collaborate for the betterment of our schools and community. I am eager to bring our voices to the table and work tirelessly for the educational excellence our children deserve.

This is just the beginning. Together, let's continue to build a community of learning and growth for every child.

With warm regards and heartfelt thanks,

Key Issues
As a candidate of the Board of Education, I am committed to addressing the key issues facing our school district. From the recent book ban controversy to the challenges of teacher retention and equitable development in our town, I believe that we must work together to find solutions that benefit all students. I am passionate about ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education that prepares them for success. With my experience and dedication, I am confident that I can make a positive impact on our community.
Candidates typically engage in 1-3 public debates and presentations, addressing diverse questions posed by the host and the audience. Reviewing these debates and presentation videos is crucial for gaining a deeper understanding of the candidates and their perspectives on pressing local issues. We will continually update the information to reflect the progress of the campaigns.

Committed to Excellence in Livingston's Education
Hello, Livingston community! I'm Fang Gong, and I'm eager to serve our children and families as a member of the Livingston Board of Education. Since making Livingston my home in 2010, I've been deeply immersed in our community, not just as a resident but as a dedicated mother of two wonderful Burnet Hill Elementary School students. My journey in this community has always been driven by three core values: excellence, empathy, and equity.
In the realm of education, I'm proud to hold a master’s degree in Public Administration from Rutgers, a master’s certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and a completion certificate from the New Leadership training program at the Center for American Women and Politics, Eagleton Institute of Politics. My internships at the New Jersey Council on the Arts and the United Nations have only reinforced my commitment to education and advocacy.

Professionally, my leadership journey led me to manage Rutgers’ International Executive MBA program in Beijing and hold esteemed positions at Montclair State University. Here, I served in the International Program Office at the School of Business and later in the University’s Global Education Center.

My commitment to our community runs deep. I've co-chaired the annual Multicultural Night for two years through the Home and School Association (HSA), emphasizing our shared value of community diversity. I've collaborated extensively within the Burnet Hill School’s Equity Team and volunteered at both the Livingston Public Library and with the Friends of the Library. Being an instrumental part of the Livingston Multicultural Parents Association (LMPA), I facilitated the donation of AAPI-themed books to our elementary schools. I'm also proud to be a board member of the Livingston Chinese Association.

During this campaign, on October 2nd, I attended the Regional Informational Program organized by the New Jersey School Board Association (NJSBA).
I also took a significant step by proudly signing the Pledge by Action Together New Jersey, committing to its three essential pillars:
1. Believing in public schools and protecting public education for all kids.
2. Supporting our teachers wholeheartedly.
3. Standing firmly against book banning.
You can review this pledge in detail by visiting the webpage.
This campaign is only the beginning of my endeavors to learn, grow, and better equip myself for our students' future. My commitment to continuous learning and maintaining an open line of communication with our Livingston community is unwavering.
Every single vote has the power to create a positive impact on the future of our children and our community. I humbly request your support. Please make your voice heard, step out, and cast your vote for Fang Gong, Line 2D. Together, we can make a significant difference.
